Meet Amy Neighbors! Like many of our trainers, Amy got her start with BEYOND by taking a class not too long ago and was hooked. Find out more about Amy’s favorite BEYOND exercise and what it means to her to #goBEYOND.

BEYONDblog: How did you come to be a part of the BEYOND family?

Amy: I have always loved the Beyond workout as I was attending Beyond 500 as a class pass participant. My dear friend Ryan Lehman and I chatted and he suggested that I reach out to the owner about getting on the schedule. I have known Brandi for years because of the industry and I was ecstatic at the opportunity to work for somebody with a reputation like hers. I am loving it here!

BEYONDblog: What can clients expect when taking your BEYOND classes?

Amy: High energy and loud music! I teach my classes in the same way I like to workout––keep it moving, keep it fun, and kill it.

BEYONDblog: What’s your favorite BEYOND exercise?

Amy: Back Lunges! I believe in “bang for your buck” when it comes to exercises and lunges work the biggest muscle group. Focus on the booty!

BEYONDblog: When not leading a BEYOND class you are…

Amy: Eat, sleep, breathe Brick Betty.

BEYONDblog: What days can clients book your classes?

Amy: Mondays at BEYOND Preston Hollow right now. I am subbing at BEYOND Lovers and BEYOND Henderson, so check the schedule for those. We change trainer schedules periodically so it’s best to look up my current schedule at TheBeyondStudios.com.

BEYONDblog: How did you start your fitness journey?

Amy: I was a gymnast, cheerleader, and dancer growing up so I have always been active. I started teaching group fitness classes in Illinois at the age of 17. Eighteen years later I’m still at it. Obviously, much better now than I was then.

BEYONDblog: What motivates you to live an active and healthy lifestyle?

Amy: I believe we don’t fathom our own greatness. For me, living that lifestyle is a chance to be greater today than I was yesterday.

BEYONDblog: What is your go-to post workout snack?

Amy: Plain Greek yogurt with raspberries and oatmeal.

BEYONDblog: What’s your favorite training gear/ apparel?

Amy: Brick Betty, of course! I started Brick Betty out of my own frustration of knowing what type of active wear doesn’t work. I used to teach classes and train clients with a shirt tied around my waist so that my clients could not see through my pants. Everybody should know whom the professional is when they walk in the room and Brick Betty does that.

BEYONDblog: What’s your idea of going BEYOND?

Amy: Getting knocked out 7 times, and getting up 8.
