For the month of March, BEYOND Studios is giving back to the community, and we’ve chosen two amazing nonprofit organizations, Dallas-based Genesis Women’s Shelter and Back On My Feet, to benefit from our month of giving. To do this, BEYOND Studios has teamed up with the World Wear Project, A professional clothing collection company, to recycle your old workout wear, shoes and other clothing items.
How can you help? To participate, look for the specially marked bins at all three BEYOND Studios locations and simply place your items in the bins when you show up for your next workout session. Items World Wear Project accepts are clothing, shoes, belts, handbags, wallets, caps, and hats. But, that’s only the beginning. At the end of the month, World Wear Project will pick up your donated items and BEYOND will receive a check for the items where 100 percent of the proceeds from our collections will go directly to Genesis Women’s Shelter and Back On My Feet. The more items we collect the more money these two great nonprofits will benefit. Now’s the time to rid your closets of those gaucho pants, mom jeans, and, dare we say it, Crocs.
We’re excited to team up with World Wear Project in order to give back to our two beneficiaries for our month of giving. We’ve selected two wonderful organizations that continue to positively impact and make a different in the lives of their communities.
Genesis Women’s Shelter and Support provides quality safety and shelter to battered women and their children through crisis intervention and short-term crisis therapeutics and to reduce the occurrence of violence against women and children in the greater Dallas area.
Back on My Feet is a national nonprofit organization that uses running to help those experiencing homelessness change the way they see themselves so they can make real change in their lives that results in employment and independent living. The organization’s mission is not to create runners within the homeless population, but to use running to create self-sufficiency in the lives of those experiencing homelessness.
Together, we can go BEYOND and make a difference.
